How much does cosmetic dentistry cost?
It's hard to put an exact price on cosmetic dental treatments since we offer so many to our patients. However, when you discuss your smile goals with your dentist, he'll review your options to give you the best treatment possible within your budget. We also offer financing options for you to afford your care.
Will insurance cover my treatment?
It all depends on the care you're receiving and your policy. For example, insurance usually won't cover cosmetic dentistry. Call our office and we can help determine what your insurance may cover. Contacting your insurance provider can also be helpful to answer specific questions about coverage.
How long does it take to make a dental crown?
It takes us only one day to make your dental crown, thanks to our CEREC® system. With this modern technology, we can fabricate and design your lifelike dental crown. It will have the same look, feel, and function as a regular tooth.
What kind of toothpaste should I use?
We recommend choosing a toothpaste with the ADA seal of approval. It confirms the product is reliable, safe, and high quality. Be sure to also choose one with fluoride, which protects your teeth against cavities.
How soon should I bring my child in for a visit?
You'll want to start bringing your child in at the age of 2 years old. We start out with friendly visits, so it's a comfortable experience for them. Early visits help ensure they are comfortable at the dentist throughout their adult years too.
Can you handle my dental emergency?
Yes! There's very few dental emergencies that Dr. Despain hasn't seen and treated at Skyview Dental. If you are in a great deal of pain, or have lost a tooth, we can see you on the same day if possible. Just give us a call so you can find help right away.
What can I eat with dentures?
Thanks to all the advancements in technology, you can eat almost anything you want with dentures. If you choose conventional dentures, you may need to alter your diet a little bit. However, if you pair them with implants, you'll have a more secure bite which opens you up to a wider range of foods.
How often should I visit the dentist?
You'll want to visit us every six months for cleanings and exams. It allows us to remove plaque, bacteria, and tartar buildup from your teeth that you miss when you brush at home. We'll also thoroughly examine your mouth for signs of oral health issues. The earlier we catch problems, the easier it is for us to treat them.
How can you help me ease my dental anxiety?
Many patients feel nervous going to the dentist, so we offer sedation if you have anxiety. It puts you at ease so you get the care you deserve. Our laughing gas is safe, gentle, and allows you to drive home after your appointment. Our team is also compassionate and always looking for ways to make your visits with us easier.
Am I a candidate for SureSmile orthodontics?
Our clear aligner treatment can address a wide range of orthodontic problems. However, in some cases, it may not be the most ideal solution. You'll never know, though, unless you come to see us for a consultation.
