CEREC® Same-Day Crowns and Bridges

Getting a same-day crown takes between 90 minutes and two hours. But don't worry that you'll be left sitting with your mouth open as most of that time is spent creating your crown or bridge. We welcome you to bring music or read a book or magazine while you wait.

How We Make CEREC Same-Day Crowns

The first step is to remove a layer of tooth enamel to ensure a proper fit for your new crown. Next, we take quick and easy digital impressions to capture a 3-D virtual model of your tooth.

Dr. Despain uses the virtual model to design your new crown or bridge in the software, and specialized 3-D fabrication equipment in our office mills your custom crown.

When it's ready, we check the crown for fit, adjust it as needed, and bond it securely to the tooth. You can chew on the tooth comfortably again and, with proper care, your CEREC crown can last 20 years or longer.

Are You in a Hurry for a Dental Crown?

Skyview Dental is one of the only dental practices in the Moses Lake area that offers same-day crown technology. If you need a crown, bridge, or veneers and don't want to wait weeks, call us to schedule an appointment to get started.

General Dentistry

At-home oral hygiene is crucial, and we also recommend following up with professional teeth cleanings at our Moses Lake dental office. Brushing and flossing removes a lot of plaque and helps prevent cavities and gum disease. But it can’t remove every trace, which is why professional cleanings with a hygienist are so important.

Only a Hygienist Can Remove Tartar

When plaque collects on your teeth, it gradually turns into a hard substance called tartar or calculus. Tartar is impossible to remove with a toothbrush and floss and requires the skill of a dental hygienist who uses specialized instruments designed for the job.

Stay a Step ahead of Gum Disease

During your cleanings, your hygienist will also check for signs of gum disease or gingivitis and plan treatment to eliminate it if necessary. Untreated gum disease damages the structures that support your teeth, which can cause them to become loose.

We recommend preventive cleanings every six months so we can stay a step ahead of gum disease and protect your teeth and gums.

Is It Time for Your Next Teeth Cleaning?

Our dental hygienist is very gentle and thorough and enjoys helping our patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. If you are due for your next six-month cleaning, please call our Moses Lake, WA dental office to schedule an appointment.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini implants are an excellent option to replace missing teeth and work just as well as traditional implants. A few things that make mini implants a great choice is that our Moses Lake dentist can often place the crown the same day as the implant. They also tend to be less expensive for the patient than traditional implants.

The Benefits of Mini Dental Implants

Mini implants and traditional implants function the same way, but a mini implant is narrower. Their small size makes mini implants easier to place, especially in areas where bone loss has occurred.

One example is adults who have been wearing dentures and don’t have adequate bone in their jaw to get a traditional implant. In this case, Dr. Despain places several mini implants along the jawbone and customizes dentures to snap onto them.

Because mini implants are smaller, they cause less trauma to surrounding bone and tissue, so you don’t have to wait as long for the implant to heal. In most cases, our dentist can place a mini implant and restoration on the same day, compared to full-size implants that take months to heal.

Learn More about Mini Dental Implants

At Skyview Dental, we understand how crucial it is to have a full set of teeth that look natural and function comfortably. If you have full or partial tooth loss, we have options to help you get your beautiful smile back.

If you would like to learn more about mini implants, please call our Moses Lake, WA dental office, and we will be happy to schedule an appointment.

Root Canal Treatment

No! At Skyview Dental, we use modern technology, powerful anesthetics, and sedation dentistry that make root canals no more complex than filling a tooth!

If you want reassurance, it’s helpful to separate facts from the myths you may have heard about root canal treatment. Most importantly, a root canal is the only procedure that relieves your pain and saves the infected or abscessed tooth from extraction.

We Use Strong Local Anesthetics

Before we start treatment, we use very strong local anesthetics to numb the tooth so you won’t feel anything. We also offer nitrous oxide or “laughing gas” to help you relax so you can drift comfortably through your appointment.

Efficient Treatment with Advanced Technology

The purpose of root canal treatment is to remove the infected tooth pulp that’s causing your pain. We use leading-edge rotary endodontic technology at our Moses Lake dental office that makes root canals more comfortable and efficient than ever.

Expertly guided by Dr.Despain, the technology efficiently removes the pulp, so you spend less time in the dental chair. Rotary endodontics also reach more easily into the root canals to ensure that the infection is completely removed and we achieve optimal results.
