See How Our Dentures Can Improve Your Life

So for patients who have teeth that cannot be restored or don't have teeth anymore, dentures are a great way for us to really restore function and aesthetics and really transform your life by providing an entire new set of teeth for you. In most cases, we don't have to use gooey impression material. We can take a digital scan and then have that made from the lab that way.

We also do different 3D printing here as well at our office that allows us to get dentures back quicker and be able to do it in a much more patient-friendly way. So for some people, patients who are missing multiple teeth but still have some teeth that they're hanging on to and maybe they're not a candidate or don't want to do implants or other fixed options like that, removable partial dentures can be a great option to be able to restore your teeth and have an option that is more affordable and can provide that function and aesthetic appearance that we need. Yeah, well, appearance is really important to a lot of people. And, you know, having teeth that you can allow you to smile and to talk with people without, you know, being self-conscious is really important and can really have an effect on someone's quality of life.

And hanging on to damaged teeth for too long can also cause other health issues down the road. Having that bacteria and those different things, you know, going into your blood and into your, you know, the rest of your systems can really affect your overall health as well. So it really is good to have those infected or damaged teeth that are beyond repair removed and something else in their place.

Smile Genuinely With Modern Dentures

You don't have to go through life without having a mouthful of attractive and functional teeth. Even if you're missing all your natural teeth, custom dentures are an excellent way to regain your smile and your bite. Dr. Despain would love to help you enjoy life more through a complete set of teeth, just like he's been able to do for many other patients.

To have your new dentures made, we'll first scan your mouth with a digital scanner. You won't have to endure any goopy mess with these high-tech impressions. The specifications will be sent to our lab partner, who will custom-craft your new teeth.

Depending on your needs, you can choose from several types of dentures:

  • Traditional Full Dentures - This style of denture will replace full arches of teeth on your upper or lower jaw. They'll stay in place using suction and a bit of denture adhesive.
  • Traditional Partial Dentures - Partials may be a good fit for you if you have some healthy teeth remaining. Your dentures will clasp into place to these existing teeth.
  • Implant-Retained Dentures - Your replacement teeth will snap into place to dental implants using a system of snaps and balls. You'll never need adhesive, and you won't have to worry about them slipping out of place.
  • Implant-Supported Dentures - These are our most comfortable dentures. They will anchor to a sturdy metal bar attached to implants. Unlike other types of dentures, you won't have to remove these teeth for cleaning or care. Just brush and floss your teeth like you always have.
  • Temporary Dentures - We'll fit you with temporaries to wear while your final restorations are being manufactured.

Secure Your Custom Dentures to Implants

One drawback of conventional dentures is that lower dentures tend to shift and move around a bit in your mouth. For a more secure smile, you can pair your dentures with implants. Dr. Despain offers both full and mini-sized implants. They offer numerous benefits:

  • You can enjoy chewy and crunchy foods thanks to stronger oral function.
  • Your facial structure will appear more youthful since you avoid that sunken cheek look that results from bone loss.
  • It usually takes only one appointment to get mini dental implants. You'll leave our office with your whole smile intact.

After finally deciding to get a second opinion on a tooth that has been troubling me and ignored by previous dentist, I decided to checkout Skyview. In one day they diagnosed the problem, and had me scheduled same day (at specialist dentist in Tricites) for a root canal. Just got their in-house built crown on yesterday and finally have a happy jaw! Thank you Skyview, you won me and my family’s business!

My appointment went very well. Had a crown replaced and it was done in house, saving time and cost. This was probably the best fitting crown I have ever had. Thank you so much.

Everyone here is SO nice and caring. The family atmosphere and culture is what brings me back here and their membership program makes it easy and affordable for me to receive care while I am without insurance!

G. H. (Verified Patient)

I love that they have a "consulting" room. Makes it so easy to ask all the questions I have regarding what my insurance will cover

M. G. (Verified Patient)

Wow. I have a HUGE fear of dental work and usually end up in tears due to a horrific gag reflex. They have worked with me, been kind and understanding and helped figure out how to work with me. I am now comfortable, for the first time ever, to walk in to the dentist and know it will be ok.

Commonly Asked Questions About Dentures

Who might need dentures?

Dentures can replace either a few missing teeth or all your teeth, depending on your situation. We offer dentures in several styles to accommodate just about every patient. You can get partial or full conventional dentures that remove easily for cleaning, or you can stabilize your dentures with a set of dental implants for superior comfort and performance.

How long does it take to make dentures?

The exact time it takes to make dentures can vary significantly, depending on the style of denture, the materials they're made from, and other factors. When we order your dentures, we can give you a much better time frame. However, most dentures require one to two weeks to be made professionally in a lab.

What can I eat with dentures?

Thanks to advances in dental technology, you can enjoy nearly any food you desire without dietary limitations. While conventional dentures may require you to alter your eating habits, implant-supported dentures provide a more natural biting function. With this option, you can eat a wide variety of crunchy or chewy foods, since implant-supported dentures offer a bite strength comparable to having a full set of natural teeth.
